Antenatal Pilates is designed to focus on overall stability and core strength to help you cope with the physical changes happening as your baby grows, and the aches and pains you might experience during pregnancy. It will also help with recovery post birth.
Alongside the exercise elements of the course, we will have informal discussion about concerns or feelings during pregnancy. As a group we can support each other with the mental and physical health challenges faced during this time.
It is suitable for any stage of pregnancy and you can join even if you’ve never done Pilates before. The class will only offer pregnancy safe exercises with modifications and adaptations for the trimester that you’re in, and/or your ability level.
I recommended that you bring an exercise ball. They come in different sizes according to your height. You will likely want one of these during the last few weeks of pregnancy for use at home. If you don’t already have one please see the link below for an idea of what to buy. Check the size chart for your correct size.
The next 8 week course starts on 9th February 2020 at Downdog + Crow in Woodstock.
Classes will be held at 11.30-12.30 on Sundays. Cost is REDUCED TO £85 (from £100).
